The above picture is Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz of die cast miniature car toy “Tomica Premium”, which was released by TOMY COMPANY,LTD on January 20, 2018 in Japan.

In the 1950s, Cadillac announced the new models of Eldorado one after another equipped with gorgeous exterior and the latest technology at that time.

Especially, the 1959 model with huge tail fins is a model that became the symbol of the rich America, this miniature car toy reproduces the 1959 type convertible model of the brilliant pink color.

Cadillac Eldorado adopted the bumper-integrated front grill called “Dagmar bumpers” which used chrome plating extensively.

This die cast miniature car reproduces the front grill of chrome plating by the under part of the chassis side .

It is painted with shiny silver color and finished to the moderate level.

On the other hand, the emblem part or the left and right lines of the bonnet are painted with silver color different from the Dagmar bumpers.

This silver paint is weaker in gloss than the grill side, and the texture is inferior.

The same silver paint is used also on the edge of the front window, and it does not feel high-class feeling like the actual car that had used the chrome plating.

Tomica premium usually uses the clear resin in the headlight part.

Eldorado Biarritz of 1959 type adopted the dual headlamp.

This miniature car toy expresses the dual headlamp by the shape of die-casting and painted in silver, and it is a little disappointing finish.

The silver emblem of “ELDORADO” was installed behind the front tire of Eldorado Biarritz.

This die cast miniature car toy reproduces the emblem by printing.

Tomica Premium accurately reproduces the wheel shape of each car.

Eldorado Biarritz was equipped with the quite unique wheel.

This die cast miniature car reproduces the wheels well, including the state where half of the rear wheel is hidden in the body.

In addition, by painting the side part of the tire in white, it expresses “White wall tire”.

Tires and wheels are finished in the atmosphere fairly close to the actual car.

Since Eldorado Biarritz is a convertible, the interior part looks well.

At the seat part of this miniature car toy, the separately molded white part is used, assuming the actual car.

Although contrasting with the black dashboard is good, compared to the body made of zinc alloy, the texture is not so well.

The 1959 type of Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was equipped with the huge tail fin.

This miniature car toy reproduces the flashy tail fin and the characteristic taillight by the shape of die-casting.

The tail light part is finished with red paint.

The scale of this die cast miniature car toy is 1/75, and the actual size is about 76 mm.
